My full 3 in TBE is seriously quieter than most catbacks on the market.

anybody who's still complaining about no cats on a few performance cars should go to an airport and protest all the jets there...

if you stop 1 jet from taking off then you've done more good than getting every single evo owner to put their cats back on their cars.

and people complaining about it smelling bad.... come on, get a life.

OK, I can't deal with all the PCness so, I'm just going to say it.

F*ck the environment. A handful of car without cats makes 0 difference. Why don't we lobby to get all the old cars that are grandfathered in from having cats off the road? There is way more of them than there are Evo's and I guarantee they don't run anywhere near as clean as an Evo.

If I wanted to save the world I would drive a Prius or an Insight not a 400hp turbo charged gas guzzling pollution machine.

If people were really worried about it more people would car pool and there wouldn't be cars like the Evo running around. Hybrids have only become popular since gas went over $3.00 a gallon not because everyone just realized "I don't want to pollute" it was because of "Holy sh*t I can't afford to keep feeding this beast at this price."

Nomex undies on.

How about being considerate to other motorists who happen to be behind a catless car that fills their vehicles with noxious fumes?

F*ck the environment.

I don't think the next generation (our kids) would appreciate this kind of comment.

Nah, Maybe when the other drivers are considerate enough not to talk on the phone, apply make up, use signals when changing lanes, tailgate, ride in the fast lane, play music so loud my mirror shakes or, discipline children while driving I'll think about it.

Our kids probably won't appreciate a lot of things previous generations have done. To be honest they probably won't appreciate anything judging by what I've seen with a lot of today's youth. If they have the time to get all worked up about something some idiot (me) typed on the Internet they need to be more productive in fixing the things all the previous generations f*cked up.

F*ck the environment - Man, you need to grow up. This comment simply ridiculous. How old are you?

When you say f**** the environment you are saying f**** to all your family and you!

You need a healthy environment to live!

This advice is not only to Evo owners, obviously.

Another ridiculous comment, if you want to drive clean buy a Prius not an Evo.

You can buy a 1001hp car or 600, whatever power level car and be emissions legal.

Anyone can build a 500whp Evo emissions legal and beat a lot of cat delete Evos in this forum.

If you do not have enough money to build a decent emissions legal car, do not throw your problem to environment.

I think there is a big difference in being legal and actually doing something healthy for the environment

I agree somewhat with most of you guys... if I lived somewhere that actually enforces emissions laws I would obey the law lol.

I'm 27 and usually pretty mature about things. Last night I was in a mood to argue. I only said that to stir people up because the whole arguement just seems stupid to me.

But seriously, HFC's shouldn't count anyway because they still pollute more than a stock cat and it isn't technically legal to replace a functioning cat begin with. So, what are you saying? It's OK to pollute a little more with an HFC just not as much as you would with a test pipe? WTF? That's pretty hypocritical.

Maybe we should make every Saturday night race track around put cats on those cars or even better stop running leaded gas? Because I would be willing to bet there are more race cars in this country that run catless than modern street cars. What about motorcycles? What about jets as mentioned before? Do diesels have cats on them yet? I know they didn't a few years ago.

Besides as said before, 90% of the pollution is emitted before the cat lights off in a cold start. A well tuned car won't pollute much more when warmed up than a car with an HFC.

It's not a money issue. That is just ignorant on your part to assume. I actually have an HFC on my and I'm getting rid of it because there was virtually no power gain over stock with it. I tried to be as environmentally friendly as I could and still get the results I want. It wasn't working out.

As far as what I said about the Prius thing basically all I was trying to get at was this:

If you want to kind to the environment buy something that runs as clean as it can from the factory and you don't plan on modding to make power with. Don't buy something that runs pig rich stock and barely meets emission standards which is part of the reason it took so long to get the Evo over here and try to make seem like your doing the environment a favor by opting for and HFC that isn't as good as the factory one. I know everyone says it was a safety thing but, it was just as much an emissions thing. Why do you think we don't have anti-lag and other countries do?

It's not true when you said: F*** the environment

But seriously, HFC's shouldn't count anyway because they still pollute more than a stock cat :
It is not true, my SARD HFC is cleaner than stock cat!!! APEXI, HKS are other names in my mind that actually are cleaner than stock cat, go at their websites an confirm by yourself.

Maybe we should make every Saturday night race track around put cats on those cars or even better stop running leaded gas?
I'm not talking about PURE RACE, DRAG RACE CARS, I'm talking about daily and weekend cars.

Besides as said before, 90% of the pollution is emitted before the cat lights off in a cold start. A well tuned car won't pollute much more when warmed up than a car with an HFC:
Can you prove it? What do you say about the pollution emmited in traffic jams? Is de-cat = cat?

I actually have an HFC on my and I'm getting rid of it because there was virtually no power gain over stock with it.
Which brand are you running?
Put an APEXI 130cel, and I'm sure that you will feel the difference.

I tried to be as environmentally friendly as I could and still get the results I want. It wasn't working out.
It is not you cat that is holding you back!!!

I'm sure that the best HFC will give you the power you want and do not pollute as a de-cat car. Look for APEXI, HKS, SARD and HELIX all of them are below 200cel catalyzers.

If you still want to pollute, what can I do? It is your car it is your choice, it is our problem.

I'm putting an HFC on because I can't stand the stink anymore. I've tried and tried to ignore it but I can't. *Shrug*
