Since i put on the bushcur intake filter, i noticed i lost mpg's. Doesn't a intake filter help on gas?

Is it just the drop in filter? I just ordered a K&N drop in... hope I don't get worse gas mileage.

Drop in filter's are fine it's the cone type you need a tune for.

I had the same thing happen when I had an intake in. I put the stock box back on with a K&N drop in and it's back to normal.

either get a tune for the cone filter or put the stock airbox and call it a day.

I've been running stock airbox ever since I bought the car and I get around 280miles a tank.

250-260 with the a/c on all the time is not half bad. My only idea is maybe there is a leak somewhere on the intake or it's all in your mind.

To maximize it a re-tune would be best but its not necessary.

On a stock car you would not need a tune if you added the intake. There are a good amount of people out there running just our TBE and intake and are problem free. The cars even run on the rich side from the factory. Anything more than those 2 things I would definately recommend getting a tune. Actually even a flash on a stock car is still good for about 30whp. $375 for 30whp... very good bang for your buck.

Take care

If you're using stock, it is absolutely necessary to have the snorkle on.
