Evo with small wing or with no wing, those pics has posted on this board before. Most people like the look with the big wing much better.

Hey man, thanks for the post. It really helps out to actually see some examples rather than just talk about it. After seeing the wingless EVO, I'm sure I'm keeping my big wing. I like it much better with it
The small winged yellow car is pretty intriging though... It might be worth looking at more of those to see what it looks like... Still, after seeing it both (or all 3) ways, I think I'm happy with my "complete car".

 

Lets see if I can post this other picture of the white wingless one, It shows more of the impact of removing the wing...... I like it better with the big wing.

i notice alot of people like the wing.....but at speeds around what....120...isn't that when the wing would actually be useful??

Actually, if designed properly, spoilers or rear wings actually decrease drag slightly at any speed. They're not purely for downforce purposes.

 

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks for posting it. I don't know what is wrong with my computer because it would just not post... I tried several times...Oh well...

 

Those wings are not cosmetic only.... They really do function and in more ways than just to create downforce... The car has much more stability with the wing and not only at twice the speed limit. Actually, the effects of air resistance can be felt at much lower speeds (ever pedal a bike against a strong breeze?) and the wing serves more than one purpose. I seem to recall that the wing of the WRX helped with acceleration and fuel consumption as well.

Anyway, I rather like the wing even if only for the styling. I know it's a personal preference, but the white car just does not look quite like an EVO without the wing... To me it looks a little incomplete.

 

Slap on dozens of stickers and huge vinyl decals down the side of the car.......and replace the front wheels with jet bblack spare tires........total sleeper look....no one will expect the car to be seriously fast.

 

For some reason, the small spoiler EVO looks hideous to me. I don't know if it's the angle of the photo or what, but I think I'd rather had no spoiler than that tiny one. -shrug-
