Do I need a Fmic YEt

searched around.. read some info.. some people saying the front mount is good to 400hp.. other say you should upgraded the stock fmic because it is no good.. so what is the true verdit.. maybe I didnt search hard enough but looking for a good answer.. mods will consist of..

ix turbo
intercooler piping
forge diveter valve
mbc
3in exhaust
drop filter
264/272 cams

so help me out people by either saving some money.. or buying a fmic./

So, someone told you that the stock intercooler is no good uh?. I wouldn't change th intercooler unless you put a larger turbo. I personally had better experinences with the stock IC than with an aftermarket IC I had once.

david buschur says you pick up 15whp from upgrading your fmic.. but that is why I am debating this whole thing.. but I am just trying to break 11's on pump gas...

at peak boost, bigger core than stock is better? yes.
at spool up, No.
which is better? you decide.

No space between inter and cooler.

D. Buschur told me friday, well us, that you should. like stated above, he says 15whp gain. Carlos (above, a good friend of mine) installed the niesi and iirc lost power...?? but that was a monster of an intercooler....maybe a milder upgrade could be in order? but then if you plan on large turbo later, you may need another one so kind of throwing money away.

So, if you plan on staying with the 9 turbo, upgrade (if you dont mind a lil pressure drop, lag, for extra whp). If you are going with a bigger turbo later, keep the stocker till then. just my .02

The ams has such a little pressure drop that I don't think you notice any lag whatsoever, personally I look at mods like this....do you need bigger and better? No, you can run decently quick with just the basics but several local evos have upgraded fmics, header etc...stuff that people claim isn't really worth it because they don't make good gains but they run good times and put down good numbers.
