Evo trade-in

I've had my 2005 Evo up for sale for a while now. I think I'm at a fair price (just lowered from 25k to $24.5k - 11k miles) but I've only had 1 seriously interested party.

Anyway, today I went to Carmax, and while they offered pretty much what I expectd, I know it's lower than the car is worth.

Does anyone know of a place that might make an offer on the car without me buying in the same way carmax do?

I'm in Sacramento, CA

Thanks,

Lee

Sorry man. It doesnt seem like anyone has an easy time getting what they want for a used evo. The reason being for the prices people want used, u can get one new for a couple thousand more. Not only that the crowd here is young and they are often learning to drive on these cars. So most people (myself includede) tend to think

used evo = beat up evo

And although that may not be true, most of the people in here are 18-21 and that age group does stupid things with cars like these. Thats the main reason our rates for this car are high.

I'd say just wait around for the right buyer.

I think the above post is dead on. It's a niche car too, so it may take longer to sell. Someone will bite though. Just be patient.

Yeah, don't sweat it. I told just a couple people I was thinking of selling mine, and when others heard they were asking me how much, and when they could buy. Be patient it will sell.

what do u guys think i can sell my evo for? or what carmax would give me

i got 06 EVO IX SSL stock, 19k miles small rear bumper damage nto really noticeable, and the hood is a little off aligned. With Sparco Fighter Seats

i'm thinking carmax will give me 20k and i could sell i to someone else for 23-24k

does that sound about right?

Now I'm not a very patient man, but I've it's been up for sale since May! Granted, my price was a bit high, but it's been below KBB for the entire time.
I'll keep waiting...at least until the carmax offer expires (7 days).

I agree with the comments on it being niche. It's not something your average punter will look twice at, and it's hard to convince people how well I've taken care of it in a 3 line auto trader ad. Kind of wish I'd have thrashed it a bit more now!

Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a used EVO (especially in march/april). I'm pretty sure I can't afford a new one from south cost (28,099). If you're selling a used one for lower than that, let me know. I'm trying to part out my srt-4 right now so I can have the cash to pay the tax.

PM me.
