So my lancer gauge was pissing me off. Was it really necessary to light up "lancer"

I called it my gay gauge cause I felt a little tingly in me butt everytime I noticed it.

So I replaced it today with a display for a wideband. It took quite a while...so long I didn't have time to finish installing the wideband. Only the display.

And for those of you who are going to ask...yes, this is a direct bolt in modification.
After you measure, dremel, fit, glue, cut, fit, and glue.

Opinions?
I am really liking how I don't have a gigantic gauge sitting on me steering column and the car looks pretty much stock minus the gay gauge.

Before:

After:

Lost functionality: (I didn't lose the low oil indicator as there wasn't even a bulb in there)

Very nice. clean too. How much space is there behind anyway? I was thinking of putting a guage there but space was obviously an issue.

You have about an inch of white plastic before you hit the breadboard for the entire dashboard.

Obviously, you can't cut the breadboard unless you feel like soldering and rewiring the board.

As far as the plastic goes...you do have a little bit of play room, certainly not a lot.

I don't think a boost gauge is a good idea tucked away like that.
For a wideband it's perfect. Most tuning will be done by logging, but in case you wanted to see your AF's, it's there for you to glance at it.

I would want a boost gauge front and center...displaying in a light up pin/gauge or in actual digits like in a blitz SBC.

dude that is amazing...seriously it looks stock as rocks

once you get it all back together takes some pictures with no interior lights so we can see how well it matches the dash lights

i would put a oil temp guage way before a boost gauge front and center. you don't ever really need boost gauges except to 'look cool' and during tuning or if there is a problem with the car and you want to see if you aren't boosting where you are supposed to etc etc etc....but on track the only other guage you look at besides a tach and fuel gauge is your engine monitoring systems like a oil temp. and if its hidden in a hard to read place it can be very dangerous to take your eyes off track for a second or two to read it
