hey wheres a good place to order a cf hood from for a 06 IX

Depends on how much you're willing to pay and what company; C-West, Seibon, Monster Sport, etc.

And there are many vendors on this forum that sell CF products. Including hoods.

and unless you are going for just looks the cf is actually heavier than stock from what i've heard

It depends what kind of CF is used. The cheaper hoods that are around 500-700 bucks are a few pounds heavier then the stock hood. The dry carbon fiber hoods are a few pounds lighter but costs A LOT more.
