question on tbe and tune
so i received my tbe. right now my car is tuned on the stock exhaust. i plan to have a re-tune done to accomodate the tbe addition. i cannot get a re-tune until roughly two weeks. my question is if i install the tbe now with the car tuned on the stock exhaust will this cause problems? it is tuned with a mbc set to 22-23~spike tapering to 20psi
Put it on!
Do the poor man's reset to the Ecu; it'll help. Bascially unhook the battery for a few minutes, and pump the brake pedal a few times. When restarted the car will 'learn' a little and adjust.
Make sure to watch your boost levels at first! With the free-er flowing exhaust you might over-boost. If so, just back down the MBC a little to be safe until your retune.
