potential big boost problem helppp

Allrite so I have had boost controller problems with my forge mbc for a while now, I couldn't turn the bosst up or down and it would boost 18 or 17 and taper to 15 and it should hold 19 cuz of my flash, so I just took it off and now its boosting to 24, I'm too afriad to havre it under WOT for more than 4500 rpms so I don't know if it will taper but is there a problem here? What can I do?

Ps I ordered hallman mbc comin in on monday

Thank you!!

Ya only got one spring actually, bouhgt it at pruven performance a yr ago and it came with nothing not even a box, I asked the man at the counter which end hooked into the wastegate and which hooked into the turbo and he changed his mind twice before givin it to me, so unless I'm 100% retarted, which is possible, I hooked it up right.

Pressure source, which is either from the bov line or turbo outlet goes to the bottom of the mbc and the other line goes to the wastegate. But I think you have it right because if you didn't it wouldn't even boost to 18 psi. I think what you need is to change the spring to a stiffer one. Contact mike@forge and he will send you one.

That wrong thing to do was buy another MBC. It may also have the soft spring in it and do the same thing. This is an extremely simple thing - you just put in the stiff spring. If Pruven didn't give you one, then they owe you one. If they don't have any, then Forge would gladly send you one at no charge.

The Hallman should work just like the Forge does work, but you will probably have to change the spring in that one, too. I'm very concerned that you are hitting 24psi with the stock boost system hooked up. THAT is a problem. Oh, and one more thing, you said your flash should take care of the 19psi or whatever. You do know that with an MBC, the ECU no longer has any control over boost, right?

Well I didn't kno that it no longer copntrols boost, but can it control if it tapers or not? A boost controller should make it hold boost anyways tho I though, Anyways tho I too am very concerned of this over boostin, shud I go wot to loike 6000 rpms to see if it settles at 19 or not? What should I do

The ECU has no control whatsoever over boost when you have an MBC. Didn't you install the MBC? You completely disconnected the Boost Control Solenoid, so the ECU has no affect on boost at all.

The stock turbo always tapers no matter what. The MBC just makes it taper less than the ECU.

Ok... but still what should I do now? I searched on here and read a bunch of ppl have their evos boostin to 23 24 and 24.5 before holdin at 19 and tapering, is it possible this is normal? Or is this def a big problem? Will new mbc with proper spring fix this?

What you said didn't make sense. Please be more clear with your question.
