That is an awesome picture with some awfully goofy parts. Looks like the turbo is switched on the otherside with a massive intake box in the passenger fenderwell and the exhaust heading around the drivers side. Are there two BOV? I want to know what the heck that piece that is on the manifold going to the possible second BOV. That is one sweet manifold. I wander how they keep it all that clean in all that dirt. Just kidding...wish mine was that clean. Nice post.

As with most race applications it looks so simple compared to the nightmare knucklebusting engine compartments of our street cars.

Nice find.

Owen Developments CAST stainless exh manifold- http://www.owendevelopments.co.uk/

Non-MIVEC

Exhaust doesnt go under the car but through the engine bay

Anti-Lag is only plumbed on 2 exhaust runners

All very interesting tech, nice find.

I doubt that they would run the intake under the fenderwell unless its somehow water sealed... They go through huge water puddles and that would not be good for the intake... Good find though. Looks very clean...

If you're talking about the gold-ish coloured pipe going to the exh. mani, I think that's the anti-lag (as pointed out above). It only needs to go to those two as the mani is symmetrical.

Those are mean-a$$ looking camber plates and I guess bolting on a strut brace is just not hardcore enough, somebody has to go and weld the thing into the car....

No there are in fact 2 BOV's. One recirc and the other appears to be VTA back by the firewall. Nice catch, it took me a few minutes to find it. The second one appears to be linked to the Anti-Lag as well. Interesting solution for introducing the air. It only injects air that would be recirc'd or wasted anyway and guarantees that the Anti-Lag has a good pressure signal to work. Sometimes fancy electronics arent the answer.

humm? Where are these bits you're talking about?
There's the black VTA one and there's the anti-lag one connected to the exhaust mani. I can't seem to find any other...?

The Bov is on the top right of the picture, look at all the metal they use to keep the intake air cool and exhaust tubing hot, its nuts.....

The anti-llag system really intrgues me. There must be a reason why no street cars seem to run it?

That is one of the first gen 4G63 engines. If you look at your 92 Talon, you will see that this set-up is the same as yours.
