Got done with a 3+ hour board meeting yesterday. Classes/rules/regs. DONE!! Very favorable tire rules also! Better then last year for sure! Huge autox course also- High speed! More soon. Anyone get ahold of Al (Dynoflash?) I gave him a personal invite, but got no response yet. I think he needs to run with AMS and Buschur in the drags, for some bragging rights. Should be a super fun day!!

I can talk to Al. I'll let him know I plan on being there - he'll probably came and help some of us with some on-site custom tuning.

That is a GREAT idea. God there will be tons of Evos there anyway!! I checked into a mobile AWD dyno for some "tuning" there as well. If they come down on the "price" I might just have one there. We shall see. The track will be open for some Test and Tune sessions at the strip on Friday Night, for those who will be in town, and want to "tweak" their setups. Will be open till Midnight, the night before.

You know I'll be there Friday on the drag strip trying to nail some deep 11s, since I haven't gotten to run my current setup anywhere below 5000' altitude. It will be like Xmas for me being able to drag race closer to sea level, and Al will be there to retune me between runs - not bad!

Awesome!! You are gunning for both Class DRAG champ AND Class autox champ? I got my money on you!!

I was told by the rules and Classifications that I am in Class "A".(Highest-based on mods). That means I am in the same class as that 1300HP viper in "Class A" on Team USA side.

In a nutshell, if I pick 30 Class "A" cars for TEAM IMPORT, then TEAM USA captain picks 30 cars of "like caliber" to whoop up on us.(Vipers/Z06 Vettes/Panoz, etc...) Both Class A teams will spend the day kicking up on each other, to see who is on top when the dust settles. At the ed of the day, we tabulate ALL SCORES, to see who is better: IMPORT OR DOMESTIC. There is a point system for each event, and each place finished is worth so many points. I bet the Viper will finish the drags with more points then me, but I bet I got him in the autox. (btw, this auto cross is more like a short road course, as it will have high speed sections in it)

Each Class will have a 1st/2nd/3rd place finisher for every event. Now if I can get ahold of Turbotrix, or some other tuners, and maybe some Subie tuners, we should be able to have a "mini" evo/subie shootout.

The track is favored by all NHRA teams, and has been billed FASTEST track in the USA. You might get high 10's Al can schedule a "road tune" dyno day then also, as there are TONS of cornfield roads around there. I believe Exedy Racing Clutches might step up and sposor the drags, which is cool. Is AL going to race in the drags? or just show up and do some tuning? Either way is fine. We are posting the rules/classes/etc... soon. Look for it early January, then the floodgates will open up.

I don't think I'll be winning any drag competitions, but I was hoping to combine a solid drag run with a great auto-x run for the combined points and maybe place well.

I haven't spoken to Al, so I don't know what he'll plan to do, but he loves things like this and will probably go if I'm there and ask him to come help. He loves to race his car, and this would be a great venue, so he'd probably tow it there to race but also spend some time helping me and other Dynoflash/Buschur guys do their best on the drag strip.

Cool! This will be fun, and I am positive LOTS of Dynoflash/Buschur people will be there also.

Here is the BADBOY who says he is going to put TEAM IMPORT on its knees!! I don't think so! He does have a Carbon Fiber body on it, and 1083 RWHP, OFF the juice. Nice car, but it takes the WHOLE team to win. He could win his class..........Or not!

Some more talking smack on us "IMPORTS"

The Collection of cars this time are going to be AMAZING for sure. I do know the classes are done, and we will have openings for anything from STOCK to OMG, as I have said before. I will get the rules posted when the Rules Committee says it is time to do so. They put all the time into it!

I started posting links and pics for the event on my local forums. I think the Viper is on one of my local forums, I have to see if it is him.

I take it I would be in the class A if selected again? Man I hope I don't get deployed this in May.

Thanks for the help "spreading" the word!! You and I will be in "class A". I hope you can help us whoop up on the "stronger team" also. I can't wait to see the Viper in person. Last time he had problems with crank-walk or something, and couldn't make it. I told him to leave the car in the garage, or at my house till May 11th.

HAHA! I found this old promo........

Photoshoot for WWII. I notice they put the "USA" plane behind the IMPORT team, and the Russian plane on the other side! OOOPS.In case you were wondering, we parked the cars, they were lined up at the gate, and SOMEONE let the RED LUMINA in on the photo!! NOBODY knew who he was, obviously a "sneek in". How frickin funny!!
