Anything Else Needed?

I have a IX and I just purchased an safc2, leaning towards the Zeitronix Wideband to use to tune and also for a boost gauge.

I know from some reading that I should also get a walbro and some injectors...

My mods for now are just TBE.

so anything else needed for tuning and what future stuff should I buy?

also what size injectors would be good?

heres what i would do as far as mods

TBE
MBC
Custom tune
walbro fuel pump
boost gauge

with the custom tune you shouldnt need the safc. That should get you pretty good numbers you might even look into the warrtalon/buschur package pretty good deal there and will come with what you need minus the fuel pump i believe

Matt

Here's what I would recommend:

-tbe (which you already have)
-mbc (forge or hallman, both are great)
-licp
-custom tuned

Basically that's all you need to have a pretty quick evo for simple bolt ons. As for the wideband, It is nice but not needed unless you and i think you do intend to tune your evo yourself since you already bought a safc. Injectors are fine until you want to change turbo ( unless i'm wrong here). A walbro fuel pump is not necessary yet but i would recommend it. Good luck with your mod path...once you start...there's no tuning back.

plus i got a smoking deal on the safc and thats what made me go that route.

what size injectors would be good with this setup?

injectors can really be stock as far as i know. You realy dont need to upgrade them unless you upgrade the turbo.

so everyones suggesting the tune then eh? might sell the safc and go that route still not sure though...

and yes of course I was planning to go with the MBC, but how much improvement is there with the LICP? I did notice how bad it bottlenecked when I was puting the exhaust on...

have you thought about getting the tactrix cable and download ecu flash? buy a e-flash from a tuner for your mods then fine tune using your wideband and some sort of logger.

Most all tuners do e-flash. The tactrix and laptop are just a cheaper route if you already have the laptop. Still if you don't want to use the computer listen to everyone and sell the safc and get a tune/flash. You can save your maps on the hard drive and back them up on disk.
