(1) I don't have my Evo yet, but I understand that the car requires more than the normal amt of maintenance, like tire rotation every 5000 miles, and use of Mobil One.
I apologize if this has been covered before, but I'm a newbie. What are the maintenance reqm'ts of the car??
(2) What tires work on the car besides the Yokohama's that come from the factory??

check out the service manual at your local Mitsubishi dealership. The Evo does require more maintaince then "standard" cars, but I think many of us do that sort of maintaince regardless. (I know I always have to my performance cars) Many performance cars require synthetic oil - that is nothing new.

I don't see why you couldn't use any tire you wanted on the Evo after you use up the Yoki Advans.

 

Yeah, most of the 'higher maintenence' is something I do anyway on my car. I was expecting something outrageous, like oil changes every 1k or something.
Other than the tires (you will need to buy a winter set for snow) the maintenence is fairly normal.
