HID front-rear headlight adjust?

HID front-rear headlight adjust?
I've searched.... I don't know how to phrase this, but is there away to adjust the HID housing in the headlight front to back.
the passengers side HID headlight was too high so i adjust it. i tweaked it so much and it still seemed to not algin quite right.
i looked closely at them in the morning to see if there was any other noticable difference in the outer housings and i found that the passenger side HID is sunken in deeper than the drivers side. the gap on the drivers side seems to be 3 times bigger than the gap on the drivers side. is there a way to adjust this so that it's not too far in the back of the headlight? maybe that'll solve my problem. thanks in advance. i could try to take pics if you guys aren't getting what i'm try'n to describe.
