Aesthetic cons of the EVO 8 (US)?

I'm planning on getting an EVO this fall, but I've never test driven one and I know nothing about it aside from the technical specs and the things I hear on forums like this.

Is it true that the Evolution doesn't have power windows, keyless entry, power seats, etc.? I knew it was less plush that most cars and this certainly won't keep me from buying one, but can someone give me a list of things the EVO doesn't have that (most) people nowadays consider standard?

power windows - yes
keyless entry - yes
power seats - no, but the Recaro seats rock

the only "standard" feature it is missing is cruise control.

Aren't the only weight savings on this car, the shaved windows, the aluminum fender flares and hood..and also hollow camshafts???

Sorry to be nitpicky, but aesthetic means things purely related to looks, not features, so the title is confusing . Really, the Evo isn't lacking too much in the way of features. Obviously no power seats, but being Recaros, who wants them. It's pretty much got power everything else and decent climate control. As was mentioned, the only thing missing that is pretty much considered the norm is the cruise control, though that can be added cheaply. Well, and plush, soft suspension .

power seats suck. Nothing worse than standing in the rain for 15 seconds while adjusting the driver seat after your 5'3" wife drove the car...
I was ecstatic when I saw the Evo didn't have them

That's probably a safty feature not offering it with the quick steering. I wouldn't want to drive next to another evo with cruise on and two fingers on the wheel

I agree with Thuan. We bought the EVO for performance. If we wanted a cruising car, we would have bought an Sti.

F1 cars? Yes. Otherwise those cross-country trips would be very uncomfortable.

Then drive 2 hours to Houston humming to yourself in an STI.
