Can't have 2-step?

I just got my car back from TopSpeed here in Atlanta and the owner there told me that Doug couldn't load up a 2-step for my car... Has anyone ever had this problem before and why does this happen, also what would I need to do to fix it? I couldn't talk to Doug cuz I got back to the shop pretty late to pick up the car so I'll try contacting him later on, but any feedback would really be appreciated, thanks!

Doesn't make sense to me. Anyone and everyone can easily set the 2-step using EcuFlash. That's the first thing I messed with when I got my Tactrix cable. I change my 2-step RPM to whatever works best at the track based on that day's conditions.

To whom are you saying "no"?

Spectre is right. All 05s and 06s have the 5k limiter from the factory, so you shouldn't even need to "load up" one. You should have had it from the day you bought the car, and all that needs to be done is to raise the rpm. It's a simple parameter in the ECU named Secondary Rev Limit that is set to 5000rpm. All you do is change it to 6000rpm or wherever you want it to be. In fact, on 03/04s, they have this same parameter, but it's set to 7900 just above the primary rev limiter, so you never know it's there until you change it.

Are you sure you want this guy tuning your car, (much less go back again) if he can't do something as simple as set the rpms for the stationary rev limit?

I'm sure Doug knows how, so if he couldn't do it, then there must have been a problem or issue. Guys, this is Doug @ TopSpeed. They've put out tons of fast Evos there - they know how to tune, and doing the 2-step is cake.
