Actually, BGII is NOT great. The OEM fluid is the best, and BGII appears to be leading to some of our trans failures. Shep laughs in the face of BGII in the stock tranny...
Also, why are you referring to knock? That is what the engine does when there is too much timing, the tune is too lean, or there is too much (or a combination of all 3).
