mine was all factory when it was taken. This time i got lo-jack with early warning system, a viper 5000 series with a remote pager and proximity sensors, and an autolock(the club for the clutch).

they didn't have RAVELCO, I'l tell you that much!
www.ravelco.com
Since I've moved to the Northeast, I have no fear leaving my car anywhere. Yeah, someone could vandalize it, etc. But my evo will remain parked and undriveable forever.
Ravelco=a second key for your car that only you have, can't be duplicated or penetrated. If the wire is cut, the car will not move or start (you have to call Ravelco to redo it if that happens, I think that's free?)

if it works and your a satisfied customer, Fine! but sounds very salesman like to me!

LoJack, Ravelco and a good page system alarm should make your car unstealable to everything but a flat bed. Even then your pager should alert you.

Nope, I'm actually a Medical Director for a top 3 advertising agency, I don't have anything to do with Ravelco, BUT I am a VERY happy and satisfied customer simply because the install was clean, done at my door step, and professionally done.

Flat bedding? If you have the Ravelco key in your pocket, they can flat bed and try to wire it, etc. The car will not function. Correct, the Ravelco OR ANY other system can't protect against the car getting parted out, but that's why I have a dealer-installed VIN location system, so my parts can be tracked and culprit apprehended.

I have no affiliation with them, just satisfied to have it on my Evo and want my fellow Evo owners to enjoy the peace of mind I NOW have (I used to stress like y'all before)

The only thing that will work is lojack early warning. Everything else is towable. Nothing beats gps. They steal it your warned before they strip it down and police are there. I know because they stole a friend of mines z28 and police were there surrounding the place. The evo is not a honda you cant take an evo apart in 30 min.

they laugh at that when your parts are in mexico.....and most thiefs sell these parts off to shady people who dont really care where they came from they just know they got them cheap.

What really scares me is the guys that have learned to by pass the engine immobilizer.

but yah that ravelo looks like the old school plug in immobilizers they used to sell back in the 90's but with all black wires....new twist on a old idea i guess.

me im just going to get a trunk monkey..i heard those work great!

edit: +1 on GPS...letting the cops know where the thiefs live is priceless...killing the source is worth it IMO.
