Hi guys,
would really appreciate if somebody out there able to tell me if E7GSR engine mounting can fit to E8GSR nicely without any modification. One more issue anybody out there using garrett GT30R??Will my stock piston & conrods able to tale the stress n at what boost will it be a safe bench mark??Cheers!!

Dont know about the mounts, but Im pretty positive that they will work. A GT30R the pistons and rods will hold, but race gas or pump+meth and a safe tune will be needed to max it out. The turbo blows a little over 30 psi and is capable of over 500whp.

A friend of mine is running 30psi w/ meth and headstuds everyday on stock block, and no problem

but what about on pump gas?? Was thinking of swapping a engine from e7 to e8. was been told that if on stock pistons & conrods, the max i can boost will be 1.2/1.3bar. They say if on a 8mr even on stock can easily boost at 1.5bar but nt on the e8gsr block. N again for the gt30r i believe its a waste if only boost at 1.5 n let alone 1.3bar, dnt u guys think so..

Is running with meth necessary?? Got the hks 680cc injectors, fuel rail, 255l fuel pump & a surge tank c/w external pump. The head was totally done up. Using hks prototype cams & cams pully, titanium retainers, valve & springs. Port & polish as well. The only issue will be the internals. ppl are saying that a gsr block aint ideal for that setup unless getting a 2.3 stroker kit. But for me i still believe in the potential of the original 2l engine.

Well I would rather be safe running High Boost with a $100 Mod, than blowing a headgasket and screwing up your head. if your going to run 25+ Psi then u need headstuds. I use meth cause its a great Alternative to race gas.
