Sophie Sleeps is right. You really don't need the extra gauges... With that in mind I have my car tuned by Buschur. I don't really plan on doing to much more to the engine than what I already have. (cams/exhaust/piping/fuel pump/etc...) So I am moving on to some "look" modifications. I plan to run 4 defi gauges boost/oil temp/pressure water temp. Granted I don't need them all minus boost.... However they just look so darn... good.

It's like saying you don't really need that carbon lip or a new set of rims.. However, we don't really need a ridiculously fast car either... It is just what we want.

There was a great thread on this just a little while ago, although it focused mainly on boost gauge accuracy, it should be a good stepping stone since this is the first gauge most people buy. I think I'll go with GReddy since they seem to have good accuracy and match the dash fairly well.

I agree that the EGT is kind of an old school way of doing things, when Wideband's were not accurate and were terribly expensive. Nowadays, a good wideband is not very expensive, and is 10x more useful.

I picked up some Defi's a while ago and just got them installed last weekend. I definitely think they are worth the extra money. I got them for pretty cheap at jscspeed.com. It was such a good deal local shops were telling me they were fake! (which they aren't)

Yeah, I'm looking into gauges right now as well... I don't see why defi's cost so much... I guess after reading all these post it is worth the money...

I love the stewart warner gauges...they match the speedo lights when you get the led option....It is also a very clean looking gauge that is easy to read even when you just glance at it.
