Don't mess with an FMIC.
What Warr said is spot on. Go back to the stock 9 BOV and forget about the swoooooooooooosh noise that the AP BOV gives you.

Stick with the drop-in filter. The stock air system is good for up to 400 whp. I would get a Walbro fuel pump, better safe than sorry.

Also invest in a tactrix cable and Evoscan software and learn how to log your car. Get an AFR meter so you know where your AFR is. Zeitronix is cheap and good.

If no woosh sound, then why do you have it? Your stocker was awesome...

The fuel pump im definatly gonna do i dont know why i didnt think of that....

And i went and dyno'd the car today to get some base #'s before the flash and made 304hp and 276TQ at 20.7 PSI
Two things I noticed in this post:

1. It seems that the 9 does not need a tune to make power from TBE mods. A stock 9 puts 270 whp on a dynojet and your put 304 whp. So there is gain right there. Some have theorized that the 9's ECU re-adjusts after the mods are done and the power gianed is lost after the ECU adjusts for the airflow.

2. Your boost did not go up by much over stock. Stock boost on a 9 is, IIRC, 20.3 psi. That is just 0.4 psi improvement over stock. Some have theorized that a TBE will bump up the boost. My data has not shown that on my VIII. I have logged a 0.6 psi increase over stock with a TBE and a drop-in filter only.

Neither of these apply when there is an MBC installed...

Pretty good, but low on torque, which is expected. You'll probably gain another 30whp with the tune and maybe 40-50wtq depending on the boost level.

I think it's unnecessary, because the stock wastegate is not a weak point. You worry about the wastegate when you're running big boost daily on alky.

Back to stock boost? No. You got that all wrong. The stock turbo always tapers, because it cannot keep up with the flow of the head at high rpm. This is not related to the WGA, and it is not related to "stock boost." The higher boost you run, the higher your taper point will be. If you run 22psi, you may taper to 19psi. If you run 26psi, you may taper to 21-22psi. It also depends on altitude. I have the upgraded Forge WGA and run 26.5psi daily on alky, but due to the extreme altitude, my boost tapers to 16psi no matter what. This is due to the lack of oxygen, so the turbo is less efficient and can't sustain that much flow at high rpm.
