im gonna take the 11 hour drive down to tennesee for this bad boy.. im new here and its my first evo. hopefully only evo. just want some advice on it, what to look for, etc.. its a one owner with no mods so im expecting it to not be beat on at all(hopefully the tranny will be alright, ive heard stories about the 03s). Can i swap on a normal evo spoiler no problem? Is this an "SSL" package?

That things got mods look at the ic pipes and bov,i would be careful with this one.They dont show you the motor closeup they might be hiding somthing.

 

Yea you can swap a normal spoiler and no this is not an SSL package...Yea like AK47 this one is def. modded its also got a FMIC upgrade...call them and find out everything about it b4 you make the trip, or go in the regional section and find someone in TN to check it out for you b4 you go there!

is that a boost controller in there too?

 

Hard to tell if it boost or not there's some kind of gauge stuck in the cubby hole,why it's there i don't know you can't see it at all.

 

im pretty sure thats the greddy TT in there not aboost controller

 

I dont see anywhere that they say it is an SSL...

SSL is the sun sound and light package or something like that...It would mean that it has HID's (which I think that all 03's have iirc even though it says halogen lights), leather seats, a sun roof, and an infinity sound system.

Its def not an SSL though

You can clearly see a sun roof in the first couple of pics..... maybe its a SSL with swapped interior?

 

its got a sun roof though. no?.. glad its not a boost controller. lol.. yea im gettin alot more info before i really commit to it and im having him send a bunch of pictures of the engine

It's not an SSL, because SSL wasn't a package until later years. That's why you guys are confused.

What I don't understand is how you said it's a one owner with no mods, yet we all can clearly see the mods, and you don't seem to greatly alarmed. I'd bet $100 you are going to get pwnt by this thing about a month after you buy it. Any takers?

 

well i didnt commit to it obviously. i just want your opinions cuz you guys kno evos better than everybody. hes gonna send me a bunch of pics of the motor and im gonna try to see if theres anybody from around there that wouldnt mind checkin it out for me.
