Fast and furious evo 8
the green one (especially) and the red one both look like crap. the wheels, the low rider paint job, the nasty stickers, the wheels that don't belong....the nasty red in the interior.....these cars look like they're ready for the demolition derby not a movie.
its definately not a lancer es conversion, saw the car in person and its a genuine evo 7. Not to mention I forgot what magazine said it, but the evos used in the movie were originally en route to some rally stage before being purchased by the film company (for who knows what sum of money). you can tell just by looking at the fender flares. I agree with orion, that wing is disgusting. it just didnt fit the car . Actually, it doesnt fit any car, especially one with an *** as boxy as the evo
it is indeed an Evo. If you do a search you will be able to find some pretty old pics that clearly show a rear differential. I think it would be more work to add this to a Lancer ES then it would be to simply bring a couple to the US for the movie shoot.
The rear lights are like that because the movie company wanted altezzas on their evo for some strange reason, and since nobody made altezzas for the evo up to that point, they had to be custom made. if you get the chance to see the car in person, you will even notice how they didnt exactly fit very well.
That red EVO has a VERY SWEET PAINT JOB. Interior is odd...too contrasting. Graphics are for kids and RICERS.
They need to lose those trailer trash wheels. Some Volk Forged Bronse wheels (SE-37's, or CE28's) would have been Ideal.
Nitrous is for losers...it isn't real HP, but other than that, the car is VERY nicely done. I would not have the Sterio Systed either. Too much weight for a fast car.
I like the Valve Cover mathcing the exterior paint. That is a very sweet touch!
Just my observations and opinions.
to MMC for the Altezzas on the EVO. That is pitiful!
