Well, what ever the reasoning it pisses me off. It seems to be especially prevalent with wheels which I am currently shopping for.

I don't know what the hierarchy of cost for a set of Volks, Works, Enkei, OZ, Advans and, so on is. I sure as hell don't want to PM 10 different vendors to get prices on them to make sure one hasn't jacked the prices way up only to get a large amount of PM's later on asking if I'm still interested.

I just want to know what it costs, shop around, pick a vendor and, order it.

Listen dude, best bet with volks is to find out the retail price and go from there. Most like the best deal your gonna get is gonna be 20% off retail, maybe 25%. SO when you get a price see what the discount is. This business is all about %. If you can get 20-25% off of retail on volks, you got a good price.

just go to a site like Yahoo! Shopping and put in the product. It will pull up a list of sites that sell that product, and you can get a general idea in 5 seconds. For example here's the page for Volk + te37 + Evo:

http://shopping.yahoo.com/search;_yl...o&did=&x=0&y=0

and you see a set of 18x9 should cost around $2850, and 19x8.5 around $3000 on average.

ONE- 2nd degrading post, you wonder why pricing is not that good??? Hum take a guess??? Also how would you know what we give our wholesale price for? So before you go post in the wrong forum learn your facts.

TWO- EVERYONE remember each company has a different discounts with different companies so some venders can offer a better price some cant it all depends, so dont expect a vendor to always have the best price on everything it all depends!

PRICETRACKER.com might work , it give you a graph similar to a stock chart that shows how the price of an item fluctuates over time

Yes, i know how buying in bulk works... You seem to be a larger distributor of aftermarket products. I would think that your buying power would be one of the best. And to take advantage of the term "wholesale" is false advertising..

Ok $380 a cam is retail. Each company has a percent off retail that they offer. I said $600 for both shipped.saves him $180 off retail and shipping. Thats ALMOST %25 off retail, ask any BIG vendor that offers wholesale to the smaller companies that easily could be a wholesale price!

Also you are talking a big ticket item a lot of vendors buy a lot of and get a better discount, I didnt so i dont offer any more of a discount, how ever i did buy a lot of the cosworth 9 cams and can offer a really good wholesale price. It all depends on what I have as a discount with hks or any one else.

Great this is exactly what I hoped for...

A pissing match between a vendor and a customer!

If everyone would just post their prices on everything there would no issues.

Evan:

I think we all understand that different vendors have different deals with manufacturers and you can't expect one vendor to beat another all the time.

All I was talking about was if you are going to start a thread about your new latest and greatest hotdamn it would be nice to know how much it costs without having to PM them.

Never bought these cam's in bulk so my "wholesale pricing" is what it is + remeber the discounts get better as you buy more, you build a customer history of buy and building up a vendors name they are more willing to hook you up! + not to mention I gave you and option of how I could offer you a better price on something else so your being false by impling vivid left you out to dry, when I tried to help you out with a product that could offer more of a discount!

I want to hook up everyone here ask any vendor we all do and we all care about each one of all of you guys! 95% of all these vendors buisness including mine go perfect, and the 5% that dont yell and scream when somthing happens, Life is not perfect we all make mistakes but I promise that every vendor here does their best to help you out and give the best prices they can! We as vendors are here to help but we also are running a buisness and have to put food on our tables with out you guys we dont get paid and I can drive my evo!

Nobody works for free and I know your not wanting it free, But I drive an evo this is my second one, I've only worked here for 3 months but I have had an evo for 2 years I know where you all come from, but now I know where the vendors here come from and understand the high stress thats here. I thank each one of you that buy from me, It makes my day to see you happy with a good price and a good product. Thanks to everyone here that makes me want to wake up each day and come to work!!!! EVO M'S THE BEST!!!!

As a customer I know, I agree, i just have to make the big guys(hks greddy apexi) happy.

Think of it this way, HRE wheels demand that we sell it above a certin price why? Because it keeps their name as a "LUXURY" wheels, not cheap... im sure you understand.

But throwing around the term wholesale means that your offering a product at your cost. Thats great that you bought a buch of cosworth cams for the 9. People that own a 9 will get a steal. To bad I own a 8..
