Why do vendors do PM for pricing?

THATS VIVID WHOLESALE!!!! Im sorry for the misunderstanding but no, VIVID nor any company here will offer their cost to anyone, We have to run a buisness, If i gave anyone parts at cost how will I make a profit? I can give you my stickers or t shirts or even my buggers at cost, But thats not what makes me money, you see?

VIVID has over 200 wholesale accounts to smaller companies looking to make it big, got to start some time?

I dont even get it at cost!!!! I have to pay 5% + shipping for my parts!!! AT best sometimes not even that! anything JDM full retail for me!!!

It's not going to be that cheep and usually its not the cheepest price and you can price cheep prices elsewhere
I disagree.... I recently got a really sweet price on my Exedy Twin HD. Ive compared the price to a lot of other's prices. Price was via PM.

I am not trying to beat a dead horse here. But I know that your a employee of Vivid Racing, so your parts are cost plus ten. I dont need a class in how to run a buisness because i know how that works. Vivid wholesale is a bunch of crap.

I understand why vendors want PM - it helps them keep from being undercut and it also helps them build a list of interested customers.

What I don't get is - where do manufacturers get off telling vendors what the minimum pricing is? Last time I checked price fixing is very much illegal.

Each cost is different, Some times its ten some times its just shipping it just depends. Im sure I can offer killer prices no one can match on some parts and I KNOW i cant match every vendors prices. I have no give in the HKS's sorry. Ask about a wholesale price about agency power? you would NOT say our wholesale sucks then! IT ALL DEPENDS on where im at with the company in question, so to say its a bunch of crap is clearly an ignorant op. PM me I will give you a wholesale pricing on several different things so you can see how MY discount varies, so will yours! Im happy to help you, but dont say Im not giving you a good price, Its the best I can give.

disclamer: Vivid Racing is only offering wholesale pricing on Agency Power products. Which is just fine. I want a Agency power tbe if offered for wholesale please..

The same prob over and over with anything writen! (PM's, Post, Emails,Texts,and aims) Over half the drama on the forum has to do with lack of communication! Im sure If this post would show my feelings like the tone in my voice could, im sure people would have a lot less probs here... CALL ME!!!! its the best way. these do help tho!

I think you are missing my point. I really don't care that a manufacturer wants you to sell something for X dollars to ensure that item is viewed as prestige piece. That's fine and I understand but, at least put that price up when you post it for sale. If that is what the manufacturer wants it to be sold for no one should be undercutting you and it's not like you have a choice in the matter anyway.

If I put up a post that said "New JDM wheels!! Most bada*s gangsta sh*t you have ever seen!!! Pm for pricing!!!"

I think a lot of people would look at it, maybe like the product, be curious about it but, not want to be bothered with PMing since they have no clue what the price range is and may not even know the brands reputation. It could be a good deal. It could be a total rip. Maybe that is just my mind set.

I mean generally you can kind of get a feel for the price of something by it's build quality and features but, sometimes it's hard to tell from a picture on the Internet and sometimes they surprise you on price for high quality piece. I personally don't like talking with someone about a product, finding out the price and maybe having to tell them "That is way out of my league price wise" or " You want how much for that piece of crap?" when the whole thing could have been avoided if I knew the price up front.

PS: I should state that this is not directed at Vivid racing but, the entire online vendor community.
