All I have to say is you get what you pay for. I went with the Real ones from the UK and have had 2 for each of the Evo's I have had and both have lasted thru about a 100 washes and multiple wax's with the buffer. Never has shown wear or tear or any sign other than looks perfect up close and far away.I got mine from Z1 follow the link below and in the pic's mine is the Silver Evo.

Up close the black looks a little flat. It's not very shiny.

Yes, they have black. Thats what I got and I love em. Look fantastic on my GG IX.

 

not to resurrect an old thread but does anyone have pics of this ebay emblem installed. i got mine today. quality is definately not like the oem one. all the letters were there and the sticker seems to have good adhesion. the freakin stencil that came to line them up (good idea by the way) says evolution VIII (not a good idea). i got all letters and the IX part but the wrong stencil, guess ill measure it out myself. the letters are all individual so it will be a pain in the *** without the stencil. the oem one comes all on one strip. you measure the outsides and slap it on, as the letters are prespaced. i want to see a pic or two before i put this on my car, if not i guess i eat the 30 bucks and wait till the uk version comes out with a black IX trunk badge.

There's some pics in this thread as well. I put mine on, and took them back off the next time the weather got semi-warm.

 

Are they esay to take off? Blow dryer?
