Evo interior door panel
Evo interior door panel
Does anyone know how to disassemble the evo door panel? What im talking about is that upper part that looks like it is seperable from the lower part in the picture below it's the dark grey part that is at the top.
Dark grey part (upper part I want to remove from the rest of the panel)

there's a screw inside the interior door handle, and then you have to pop off the caps that line the edges of the door and unscrew the screws underneath them...finally you just have to pull and pop it off...there's a write-up somewhere on here to do it.
btw, i'm selling all 4 panels for dirt cheap if you want them, lol...pm me if interested.

Check out the latest issue of Performance and Autosound or whatever that magazine is called. I just recently browsed through it and saw a write up on a custom Evo door panel with a couple of mids and some carbon fiber. Really nice.
The reason I want to take the top part off the rest is because I bought an evo door panel from a junkyard and the top part is scuffed to hell, My stock door panel is fine on the top but someone kicked out the mappocket and cracked it. So I wanted to combine the top of my door panel and the bottom of the junkyard door panel to make a completed panel w/ no damage.
I tried for 3 hours yesterday to take the peices apart but it looks like the plastic tabs are fused together to prevent them from coming apart. I might have to get creative and find another way to do it.

For all those that care I decided to do it the hard way... I took a dremel to the tabs behind the panel holding the 2 peices together and gorilla glued the good upper portion with the lower evo portion. Looks great and the glue holds pretty damn well. I might go back over it with JB Weld after the gorilla glue cures.
