tbe without engine management

tbe without engine management

is it ok on an evo viii to run a catless tbe without engine management? i ran a catless uppipe and catless tbe on my wrx for 30k miles without 1 problem but im knew to evos and want to do this right. and if its bad why? thanks

You wont get power without the tune and you will get a CEL without a mechanical or electrical fix Otherwise no problems

we'll i ordered a tbe and a cel fix im not worried about the cel but my wrx saw big gains with the tbe even before i went with the accessport but are you saying i wont see a big difference in power with a tbe without em. thanks

You won't see the full potential gains but trust me when i say you'll feel the difference. Freeing up the exhaust on any turbocharged motor will net much more power than most naturally aspirated cars.

With a TBE and drop in filter I dyno'd 290 whp 283 wtq at my friends shop. With a reflash I laid down 334 whp and 328 wtq. It made power but with the flash it was much smoother all across the rev range. It was border line not safe without the flash, I would suggest a flash with the TBE just to be on the safe side......plus flashes are cheap these days. Best of luck!
