who was driving the black evo and lost to the neon srt-4??

i heard from a few people that in nanuet a black evo lost on the highway to a red neon srt-4... i know its fast but tell me you did not gas it.... i just raced a yellow and a black srt4.... at the start i gave him a car headstart than i went for it at 5k rpm than slipped clutch... it was a waste of my clutch.... i went by him like it was standing still... now on the highway we did a 60mph 3rd gear run... same thing i just look in my rear view and seen him a few car lenghts back....now i ask you again whoever was driving the black evo and lost to the srt-4..SHAME ON YOU... unless you were just cruisin and he did "the fly by" than hit his hazards...

The higher displacement and lighter weight SRT will give an EVO a good race on the Hwy from a rolling start, however, there is more BS than actual EVO kills occuring IMO. Every car forum (RX7,Mustang,Teg,WRX etc) have numerous claims of EVO kills. I have yet to see another EVO in 12 weeks of owning my own so much is made up or Lancer kills or the EVO not "participating". My final comment is:

Take it to the track!

Best way to put up or shut up the loud mouths.

I haven't seen another Evo locally, nor have I lost in any race against anything as yet. So I think there is a bit of urban legend making going on from most of these "kill" reports.

I don't even get much races and where I live we have about 5 or more local evo's running around. A real nice 350z just went behind me would not even race, but all I have raced has lost I am 6-0 so far these are all off the line.

I've raced a few Mustnag 5.0's and 4.6's also a few Camaro SS's and a Covrvette C5. Quite a list of kills. Considereing they have 4 more cyls than we do. It's great to see the look on their faces when you roll up on them. They first look and laugh, not even knowing what's in store.

I haven't dynod my Evo yet but I should be putting down at least 330 to the wheels, technically speaking of course, maybe more. Hell just the turbo-back, BC and intake and S-AFC Buschur says 50 to the wheels, at 20psi.

He was ****tin' bricks at the power of my car, and he said he couldnt believe how fast it was, now i dont know about you guys but thats coming from an owner.. take it for what its worth.

do you know how many times i said that and people dont just go....they just stay quiet for a few minutes than just talk **** again... i even gave the srt a nice head start and i took the jump and kept pulling...it was around the 1/8 mile.. but on the highway we raced for more than a mile.. same thing.... the srt-4 is a fast car... maybe the kid i raced didnt know how to drive but its not that hard to punch it in 3rd gear
