cleaning my car and i found something behind my gas pedal. it look like a stopper for the gas petal can any body confirm this. if i had a repair manual then i would look it up. since i dont have one yet then i ask you guys for help.

 

oh no!... you werent supposed to find that.... it turns on the flux capacitor, but dont let anyone else know.

to answer your question though, i have no idea what it is for, i think it is some kind of a pedal stop designed so that we can't manage to put our feet THROUGH the floor when we are beating on our cars (or at least those of us on here who race ours anyway).

 

it allows your car to act like a Delorean when it hits 88 mph.

 

It helps transfer voltage to your preamp seat brackets right? lol

 

yes it does do that also, good call i forgot about that.

 

So remove it and see what happens. Maybe we've all been at 90% WOT with the pedal to the metal for the last 4 years. LOL.

 

on a serious note... maybe its so that the pedal doesnt go low enough to get caught under the floormats?

 

It was put there so you could ask poeple on forums about it!!

 

maybe its to prevent the heavy foots from making a hole on the car..
