Good luck with this man... A lot of the weight comes from misc. things like spare tire and jack and seats and stuff like that.... I don't think you would have to replace anything with CF to get it under 3000 pounds...

FiberGlass or CD Fenders, Take Rear windows out and and The Door lock and Window Actuator, just put a peice of plexie glass in a fixed position to cover the Opening. Wing, loose it. center console, glovebox, HVAC and parts. After that you can loose some carpeting, and then the rest is up to the angle grinder. If you are realy serious on loosing weight You could loose almost 500lbs with all that, if you are willing to use the Angle grinder, but your gonna have to put in a Roll bar at least. The Stock Recaros are heavier than some fixed bucket seats.
