Help at track
I am putting down about 360 whp and 375 tq at 26 psi on meth. I went to the 1/8 mile track last night and was running 8.2s. my 60 ft time was 1.9 at best. I have been practicing my launch for a while now on my exedy stage 2 clutch and i cant seem to get my 60 fts down. this clutch is very grabby and i can spin all 4 wheels out of the hole. would removing the restrictor pill help? i am also launching at 5500 rpms but not flooring it.

Yes, removing the clutch restrictor will help some.
What tires and tire pressure? Is that 5500 2step? What was you MPH in the 1/8? What mods to you have - cams, etc.

Your driving is your main problem. There is a drag racing forum, where this should be posted. My best advice is to learn to drive the car as it sits, because (no offense) the problem is your driving. Im running much faster on straight pump gas on a stage 1 evo with stock clutch/line/restrictor. If you have specific questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
Ok, then it's all driving. 89mph in the 1/8th shows you have some power. If you learn to launch AND learn to shift fast at the optimum RPM, then you'll see 90+mph probably and 7.6-7.7s.

Ok, 2step. You should have your gas pedal floored at launch then. This will build boost.
Tire info? Hard tires will spin more and bit less - so higher 60's. Lowering a lb or 2 then trying again can lower the 60' - just old drag racing stuff...
Shift points?
Ya i went to the track 5 times in the last month and i just cant get the times down. should i try keeping it floored and try to slip it? its really hard to slip this clutch, after 5 visits i havent burnt it once, its very grabby.

Here is my tech:

Try that ^ first. If you still are getting 1.9-2.0 60's then lower your psi a little, then try again. But dont go too low - you can hurt your tires or drivetrain.

Yes, of course you floor it - that's the only way the 2-step works. Not sure on the nitro, but 30psi is higher than I ever have mine when racing, and I have way less power than you.
Alright thanks. ya i was just afraid of flooring it cause i thought i would loose all traction. when i sent in the ecu i didnt specify for you to put the 2step in but when you raise it dont you program it in?

You have an 05, its stock. What the tuner did was raise it from 5k to 5.5k.
Lets recap: take out clutch pill, use the 2step, and lower tire psi.
Good luck, happy racing.
