2007 Tuner Shoutout Presented By Nitto Tire and Perrin Performance Sept 22-23
Plenty of room fo spectators. Anyone can photgraphy from the spectator areas, Anything more than that would require a press pass reserved only for the media to limit the number of photographers near the track in non spectator areas.
Website is up. Still stuff to be added and changes to be made, but check it out

a little confused...i keep seeing that Lancers are wanted for this event but have read the 4 classes over a few times and keep seeing the AWD only in every class (except super unlimited)...so where do us lancers fit in?
An Evolution is a Lancer. The Tunershootout is directed towards AWD turbo cars specifically the Lancer Evolution, WRX/STI, and GTR. You can enter a regular lancer, but only in the exibition class. I believe Rob from RRM is going to do this.
As for the National meet and DE sections of the event, regular Lancers are more than welcome. For this I did not want to say National Evo meet for this exact reason that all Lancers are welcome regardless of specific model

I updated and clarified the "externally stock turbo" rule for street. Externally stock means externally stock. If the housings are different from stock in any way noticeable from the outside, it doesn't fly.
Just a quick bit of information for everyone competiting that needs a transponder. I have just heard today that the track, Spring Mountain, does rent them supposedly for 40/weekend. Call ahead to reserve yours if you need one.
FP green is official OK.
If anyone has any other specific turbo legality questions, post them up. This is only an issue for the street class.
The test is that the turbo has to have a housing on either sied that looks externally identical to some year evo. They can be mixed and matched and, have different compressor/turbine wheels, clipped, internally bored/ honed out.

New announcement: Perrin Performance is now the official tuner shootout class sponsor and headline sponsor for the national meet.
