Did you cool down your brakes after sessions and did you use your parking brake in the pits?

I did, maybe not long enough. It may have been my bad (N00b) driving. I dunno.\
I did not use the parking brake.

It take some serious heat to warp a rotor. Probably just pad deposits. Try some different pads next time . Happened to my rotors too on Saturday. Swapped rotors and put some Ferodo DS3000 pads in and I was fine on Sunday.

Hey Evo guys,

First, I want to say thanks for letting us Suby guys come and play in your historically Evo only event. I will do my best to make sure that Evos are allowed at any/all Suby events in the future if I have any say in it. Having a Tuner Shootout (or any competition) without all brands allowed and represented leaves a lot to be desired. You guys are stand up guys for including us.

Thanks again!

Results update:

As most of you know, a fuel protest was filed against me/HarmanMotive in the modified class. This event had a rule that only unleaded fuel was to be allowed. A fuel sample was taken from my car at tech impound immediately after finishing the race. This sample was sent to SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) for their analysis. Additionaly, my water tank was checked to make sure it had only water injection (no methanol), my tires were checked for legality (they are 245-45-17 NT01's on stock wheels, well under the 275 limit allowed), and my car was weighed (200 lbs over the allowed minimum).

Well the results from the fuel test are back! Aaron Bitterman from SpeedVentures (and person responsible for all tech issues) contacted me in person 4 days ago at 1pm on Friday 9-28-07 and said that the SCCA fuel test came back 100% legal and that the double victories in Street and Mod are now official. It is important that these results be made public ASAP and I hadnt seen any other follow up, so here it is.

Again, I want to say thanks to you guys for including all of us in your event. I also am glad that this issue has been resolved because it is very important to me that races are won on the track and that everyone knows I race 100% legally, as should everyone. I look forward to racing with you all again in the future.

Cheers,

JC Meynet

I just read my post and it may be a little un-clear. I swapped my rotors for my old OEM ones and then used the DS3000s with those. You will have to get your damaged rotors turned and then use different pads.

Hey Charles,

Thanks again for everything.

As you know, last Friday the fuel tests came back legal and the final results stand according to the tech inspector Aaron Bitterman from Speedventures who was in charge of carrying out the fuel test with the SCCA.

Many people have contacted me wondering why the official results from this race 10 days ago are so slow to be posted and I dont have an answer for them. Could you please update your site with the final results so that people can be directed to it?

Thanks again,

JC Meynet

I posted the results here and on i-club a little bit back. I am waiting on the full time sheet to post the results on the tuner shootout website. I accidentally left my copy at the track

Hey Charles,

This is the most recent post I found from from you regarding results. Does this become the official results now that the fuel protest/test has been cleared?

Thanks again for everything,

JCM

*EDIT*

Just saw this at I-club (nice site BTW), thanks again:

"The results where AMS with a 1:47.7 jsut barely edging out GST with a 1:148.6 in the Perrin Unlimited. JC Meynet for Harmon Motive pulling an equally close win in Perrin Modified w/ the Nitto Challenge contingency over Mynes with a 3:05. And on street tires for Perrin Street Class, JC Meynet with Harman Motive pulled off a 3:09

JC was protested in Modified for suspicion of leaded race gas (against the class rules), but cleared after a fuel sample taken directly from the car immediately after coming off track was sent to SCCA for analysis."
