Finally figured out my shifting problem

I figured it was just the Evo and its dislike of cold weather, but when I reached down with my foot to pull up on the clutch pedal (it just didn't feel like it had enough free play) it popped up like something was partially engaging it. Call it an intuition or just an epiphany, but now my car shifts like butter again. I even put back on my poly shifter bushings during lunch. I was thinking that I was going to have to take my car into the dealership (heaven forbid that) or replace my tranny fluid again (after just replacing it less than a month ago). My car is a pleasure to drive again.

I thought at first it was my aftermarket floormat, but when I looked down there it cleared it. For some reason the clutch pedal wouldn't spring all the way back. I have no idea why. Anyone know why this might be?

Maybe your piston pull-back spring was stuck.....

check the linkage under the hood, where the 2 shift bushings go. Maybe something isnt right under there.

do you mean by fixing it that it no longer free revs between shifts while boosting? or something else

I mean that my shifting doesn't feel like it won't go into gear anymore. I do hate though that free revving between shifts while boosting.

Everything is fine now with the feel of the clutch pedal. It springs back like it is supposed to. I do plan on buying the Kartboys in about a month though. Hopefully that will also fine tune my shifting.
