yeah ill be fighting one in april....i made it a year and half with no cat and a loud exhaust until i got busted in traffic going 5 miles an hour ahahah!.......iv also been pulled over in the evo with the exhaust and the officer didnt say a word about it, so its all luck. I got one in my gti back in the day just brought a reciept saying i alter the exhaust back to stock and they let me go. PM me i have an idea for you i know that works.

Possibly if people looked to the lawmakers (elected officials) to change obviously rediculous laws and not the folks hired to enforce their laws, we all might get along a bit better and not have so much animosity towards law enforcement. Very true. I just think that sometimes Police officers get a bit too uptight on things. But my point is if they want to enforce all the nats *** laws, enforce them all for everyone, dont just enforce some for certain people. (in this case exahust noise laws for imports only)

It's these stupid Fast and furious kind of movies the give the cops the wrong ideas and the ricers with their hose clamped on fart cans from JC Whitney.

not saying that officers don't get excited and over do it at times, but i've found as i got older and stopped driving like a spastic and made my cars less obnoxious (quieter), the less i found myself getting pulled over for, "no reason, by punk cops that don't have anything better to do"

just my point oh twos from living in MA with an evo since '03

Well I am not a youngster anymore so thanks for the advice...but my comments are regardless of the car or exhaust....When I drive my 7 series vs. EVO vs. 911 I get different attitudes from cops....that said, I still feel my comment is spot on wrt police and our laws...And oh yeah I never would get a ticket with a license frame on the 7 series or 911....Nor does the judge.

This has been discussed ad neasuem, but the same goes for Harleys, vintage cars, muscle cars, etc. They just don't get pulled over for exhaust and that's the way it is.

Well, fought this one in court today. Presented paperwork from TanabeUSA's thread, Sema Action Network Law silence and a receipt. They did not look at any of this, just listened to my speech saying I bought an exhaust I was told was 50 state legal, passed inspection, and it does not pass 93db.

They told me they did not know the decibal maximum in mass, told me I should find it out and such but found me not responsible, same with the no front plate.

Downside is I have to fight another one I got saturday. They told me if I show up again I will probably be on the short end of the stick. This didnt' shww up on the history they pulled on me cause it happened saturday so didn't reach court in time on my record for this.

Good luck everyone and will post you about the next one.
