My first dealings with Mitsu...IN COURT!!
By the time you spend all the money and time going to court, all the pissed off feelings, sour taste in your mouth, it would be cheaper to remove them and have them repainted. I know you are right in expecting them fixed, but to think of my car in their shop. Abner had his fixed under warranty, and when we went to get the car, they had the lift arms squashing his side skirts, they ran the anti-lock out of fluid. Mechanic didnt know how to bleed it, and they only bled the outer nipple, not the inner. It was a nightmare. So if you get the warranty, and i hope you do, be prepared for new issues. Or sand them on the car and re-clear them. A member on here did it and it looked great. Cost, $10..............Ray
I agree with rraulston. Medina is a good dealership from what I've read (First to sell the BR300/350s?)... sucks they wouldn't cover it but that's something you have to considering when buying a Mitsubishi.
They shouldn't be too hard to re-clear. Hell.. you could almost start a biz like evodave does with the headlights

i, too am in sort of a bind w/ my local mitsu dealer - i bought mine used - saw some rust coming underneath the wing on the right side on top of the bumper - went to my local dealer, took pics of the rust - and got denied b/c i was the 'second owner'...called the main mitsu offices and they assured me of what you already know about the bumper to bumper carrying over - they told me to contact the dealer's service mgr, present my case, and if they still refuse to cover, they said they'll file something (i'm not quite sure what it is at this point) and so on...at this point i'm still steaming about it (learned last friday or so about them not covering it) so just want to have a clear mind when i talk to the mgr...I've had toyotas and hondas, and i just wish mitsu had at least the same quality and service they offer their customers...
mitsu hater w/ an evo!

Just so you know, the car has to be 100% BONE STOCK for Mitsubishi to warranty the rotors peeling. My brothers car did it, the car had to be submitted with photos to Mitsubishi to show the car was 100% stock to get them to cover it.
I have a thing in my own mind that tells me that I really love Mitsubishi. So the less I can attempt to get stupid things taken care of or any warranty work the more I am helping them as a company to grow. If they closed I am sure I would find something else to work on, but I don't want to. I've had my driver seat replaced because the back of it broke and I did have 1 transfer case replaced as it was SO loud from the day I bought the car that I couldn't stand it. That's two warranty claims between 2 brand new EVO's and I don't see anything else every going in for a claim.
We just bought a new Endeavor, great SUV. My wife drives it, I like it so much I am considering getting another

If the evo didn't come with Brembo's it would cost 2500-3000 to get a brembo kit...if the seat is worth it so are the brakes...and if you paid for the warranty then might as well take advantage of it....
Yeah they denied my claim too...I am the second owner and they said it doesn't pertain to the second owner....but what the hell, my car is outta warranty for it now so I'm SOL!
