So...any evoIX issues?
Oh BTW way guys since we're on the subject of rattles and things that go wrong...I went to wal-mart today and picked up some of the weatherstripping from the hardware section (it's a roll with one side of it laced with a light adhesive) and stuffed a bit of it between the windshield and the a-pillar. It's not visible from the exterior because the windshield's black lining hides it, and it's not reaaally visible from the inside either because it's pretty deep in there. But it keeps the major rattling from happening there. Just a lil tip for anyone that might have the same problem.
I'm still working to see if I can figure out what on the seatbelt harness is rattling.

no problem so far (2500 miles) but I noticed one today. For the first time I sat on the back seat and it was kinda uncomfortable I dont know if its the way the seats are positioned they are sittin way too straight up and maybe it's not comfy because I'm used sitting at a 45 degrees angle in the driver seat. My sister-in-law says the ride is too rough, no side airbags, and too light and delicate (which is not good in case of a collision.)
At highway speed today, say 70-80 mph she says sometimes the car jumps and the steering wheel trembles too much.
Maybe I should be looking at some better shocks dont ya think? I dont mind the rough ride and she says when paying this much for a car you should at least have a comfortable ride. She says the front seats are much better and so so bumpy compared to the back seats.
Thanks for reading.

I have 2 or 3 rattles which can only be heard at certain speeds.
My alignment was all jacked up from the factory or something, so my front 2 tires are completely bald on the inside.
My Exedy clutch is still all jacked up, but that's not Mitsu's fault.

actually, my IX steering wheel is very well damped of vibrations. It's very nice refinement over of my old VIII. You felt everything w/ it including some serious vibration and shakes.
IX is very well refined compared to VIII, in every catagory. And its ride is much softer than VIII. It was too soft and then I put in my Zeal CO.
I too have that clicking or popping around the windshield and some wire rattles under the dash(just like my VIII).

I always like to hear about other people's experiences with the same car.
For what it's worth--the payment for this car is truly for the performance--not the amenities and "comfort". If that's what you want go buy an IS300. Quite comfy but itty bitty inside and it doesn't have the same handling by any means.
With this car we're paying for the 4g63 engine, the upgraded chassis setup, suspension, brakes, seats, "momo" steering wheel, vortex generator, and things like that. We're paying for a race ready car.
We're definitely not paying for the radio, or the archaic interior design, or the "soft plush luxury ride", or a good racing clutch apparently.
I was thinking myself of going with a tien suspension with EDFC just so that passengers would feel a bit more comfy and I'd be able to setup the plushness of the ride on the fly--but then I thought about the fact that it will be rare that someone will be in the back anyway....so I'm not going to worry about it for now.

also i met this guy that goes by evomojo i believe on here. hes got a gt35r and etc etc by buschur and hes still on his stock tranny, tc, etc. he does have a aftermarket clutch.
you guessed it - instead of getting a couple extra tenths at the track he's happy with a slightly higher 10 second run. smart man.

Ok playa I know exactly what you're saying I dont care about everything she' saying coz thats my car and I bought it because of its superior performance.
But P.I.M.P like me like to carry more than one hot *** in the car well who knows maybe with all that bumping that might turn them on and have a wild night of sex
Yeah I will look into that MR shocks once the stocks are out thank you for your suggestion.

That said, I think the ride quality is great with either setup, unless one is expecting a street-legal race car like the Evo to suddenly turn into a glorified Buick.
and you're completely right the tires do suck =-p lol
17 year old drag racers? hmm i'm 21 and by far the youngest...
and i think a tranny grinding from day one couldn't be considered my fault what so ever... esp considering this is not first second or third manual car. so maybe you should stop making assumptions and your head OUT OF YOUR ***
I've had it rebuilt by the dealer, i'm sure it was half assed again but it's been holding up just fine.
and if you knew anything.. lauching effect the transfer case not the tranny... improper gear change and no lift shift would case a tranny to break.
so dont get on my ***, i'm stating the problems i have seen.. and its nothing new, with a car like this its expected.
cheers!

Are you kidding, you're seriously gunna try and act like its mitsubishi's fault that you and your crew of 17 year old drag racers have had tranny problems?
And you dont think that its highly suspicious that you and your circle of friends have all had such enourmous tranny problems. I hate to be a dick dude but seriously pull your head OUT OF YOUR ***.
I don't know why you think the stock tranny should hold up to your awd launches. Do you have any clue how much stress is put on the car when you launch at high RPMS and the tires cant break free? God dude, the tranny doesn't "suck", I think you're driving sucks.
4 Wheel Slide
Yeah thats good for the car too. Complain when your tires stop gripping, cause mitsubishi sold us ****ty tires huh?
