are the ix and viii exhaust the same?? i have a apexi gt exhaust system and down pipe. i fitted the catback exhaust and it doesn't mount up i need either one more bend or just add some length to the piping...buut my question is will the apexi gt downpipe fit on a ix stock turbo etc..?

 

they are the same. BUT...the evo 8 has the o2 sensor on the mid pipe and the 9s have their o2 sensor on the cat. you can seal or create an o2 bung (depending on the application...in our case, we can seal the o2 bung if we buy an evo 8 catback). as for DPs...you need one that'll clear the acd and i dont think any evo 8 dps will clear our acd.

where does the apexi catback not mount up?

 

it has two sections straight pipe that connects to the cat and the piping that goes to the muffler. the bend on the muffler piping is too straight. so when everything was tightend down the exhaust exits to the left of the exhaust exit on the bumper and to the right of the license plate mount....the flange from straight pipe to muffler pipe doesnt go past the rear floorpan so you cant even try forcing it to the exhaust exit....
