My Road Trip to AMS
OMFG! just finished reading this thread, its like a good novel that you cannot put down.Sorry as hell to hear about your misfortunes along the way, but trust me you will trump anybodys lame road trip story anytime! I have a story like that, just be lucky that it happend at 18 and you had the money to cover damages, hotel and what not. If you guys where in Memphis I would so come scoop you guys up and let you stay at my crib! Good luck to you!!!

It must just be a Conn. thing, but i could never get away with just leaving on a whim, driving my Evo 4-5 states away, and stayin there in a hotel for 2 weeks.
What about your job? School? Where is all this money comming from? Just those nights in the hotels could be so many mods. What about your parents?
This just seems crazy to me, i would never wait in a hotel and pay for it for 2 weeks to get a turbo kit installed?

Well I don't know too many 18 year olds that make their own money where they can spend amounts of this caliber...not to mention take a road trip, spend extra cash along the way for tickets and running into things in the road, and so forth.
Not unless mom and dad are funding the trip that is. But hey--it's been interesting to see the crap this guys' gotten into. Regardless of where the money comes from--it sucks that the car was torn into. I'd shoot a n***a for even trying to touch my car, cuz I'd be sleeping in the back seat!

i know what you mean, my job is online, im in online marketing..so im fine. My parents dont really mind because I never ask them for anything and Ive been supporting myself financially for a long time now. I already graduated HS and im looking into some colleges...but havent decided yet. The hotel part sucks because im paying 100 bucks a night and it absolutely sucks...this is the only part that went wrong, because when I came up here I was supposed to stay at one of my friend's family friend (if you can understand that...keep reading) but the lady that let her stay at her house...only let us stay for 1 day and told us we should probably get a hotel closer to AMS...so right now i have no choice but to pay 100 bucks a night for the hotel...but oh well, theres my explanation

After about 45 minutes of straight road, I start coming by a good chunk of the highway that has concrete dividers. After about 10 minutes of being there, there is a slight hill going upwards, thats when my valentine goes crazy out of nowhere and I see a state trooper who was facing the opposite side of the highway back out of the dividers and gun for me.

Places NOT to speed (In no particular order):
Past a concrete divider
Up a hill
Around a curve
Past a freeway entrance ramp
Anytime (night or fog) when you have limited visibility
Approaching a underpass with concrete pillars (especially in Michigan).
