I'm with the OP on this one. I'd like something in molded body color and fairly small. Yes, they won't work as well, but it's something and it won't look like they're missing the chromed naked lady silhouette. Like on this silver Acura RL:

 

yeah...i'm with you guys....something more stylish....it's not like i'm rally racing so i don't have a need for the big mudflaps

 

Driven on the street, the only place I get dirt is on the hood and front fenders. This is thrown up and out front by the front tires encountering puddles and then the car drives under it. So, it looks to me like the proper place for a functioning mud flap would be in front of the front tires.

Behind the front and rear tires I get nothing. Are you guys wanting these mud flaps for looks only? Just wondering.
