E-brake handle replacement

Hey guys, I am planning on sprucing up the interior a little bit. After looking at some options, I think I am going to go with the dealer stuff. I was going to get the carbon fiber e-brake handle. How hard is it to take the cheapo one and replace it with the CF one? I am just looking for some feedback from anyone who has done it in regard to time, tools and complexity.

Thanks

Tools required: Flat head screwdriver, cloth, elbow grease.

put the cloth over the gap behind the hand brake, put the screwdriver in, pry around a bit till it moves. Use your gorilla grip and some elbow grease and twist till it comes off.

And for those thinking of it, I can guarantee non fitment on MOMO e-brake handles. ...unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. That is one of the reasons I am sticking to Mitsu accessories. I hate having to deal with fitment issues or stuff not fitting exactly right. Besides, the carbon fiber e-brake handle from Mitsu is pretty nice.

Easier way to remove it... just heat it up with a heatgun.

Yes, the ebrake handle from looks kick ***. Especially the silver w/ carbon fiber one.

Actually the dealer sells it for about $225. I am going through someone I know at who can get it for me under $200. I think the non-CF blue one is sold for about $160. Most of these things seem pricey when you take into account the fact that they sell the carbon fiber wing for only $480. That is a lot of CF for your dollar compared to the small piece you get in the e-brake grip.
