So has anyone else had any luck w/ installing any of these? Like the Sparco one.

Do you HAVE to replace the boot or is it possible to reuse it?

Post E-Brake or Parking Brake Handle Replacement

I realize this is ancient by now looking at when this post was initially started but since I did this lil maneuver tonight here it goes.

1) The parking brake in my EVO VIII is glued on and it is on a track so it comes straight off; though a lil twist left and right may help to break the glue trying to twist the handle off is a mistake as I SAY AGAIN IT SLIDES STRAIGHT OFF.

2) Pull the brake handle lever up as high as you can to give yourself some leverage... put your right knee in the driver’s seat your left in the passenger seat, reach down with both hand an your grown man grip and pull the handle off.

3) Put your new sparco, ralliart, rexpeed or whatever handle on and call it a wrap.

It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3…
Here are some pics.

I need help removing the stock ebrake handle by any means necessary. I've done it before on my Ralliart, and now I'm trying to do remove the handle on my evo. I don't remember it being this hard and I gave myself a blister trying to get the f***** off. I already tore up that handle but its STILL on. I don't have access to a heat gun or blowdryer, so that is not an option. What is the best way to cut this thing off? I'm ready to cut this ebrake handle off.
