I heard there was a Robispec (spelling ?) that weighs 8 lbs.

 

The Robispec hood is 11lbs, the trunk is 7lbs.

Stock aluminum hood is 18.5lbs, trunk is around 22.5lbs

 

Seibon is CRAP!!! Besides the TSII being flimsy it will also crack all around the vents. Seibon quaility is **** poor, the fitment sucks 95% of the time, and it will eventually turn yellow.

Don't waste your money on Seibon. If you're gonna buy a CF hood go with monster sport or robi

 

Best has been 8# worst 10.5# trunk best 3 lbs worst= 4.1# less $'s than the JDM parts and fit better too....

I'm trying to imagine a less aerodynamic Evo.....maybe if you put a snow blade on the front.

 

I have a Seibon TSII hood for about a year, fitment was good.....It flaps around so much on the interstate people point at me thinking my hood is open, and its craking everywhere around the left vent....Get hood pins....

 

Better yet, get a decent hood.

 

Hood is fine with hood pins, I think the only reason it cracks is due to the flapping.

 

The reason it cracks is due to poor quality. The other Seibon hoods crack too, even the OEM one. You can't expect a fiberglass frame with one wrap of CF to stand up to any kind of beating.
