Ok, new here...second post

Anyhow, I keep hearing a lot of stuff about "Type 0" or "Type 1" on these forums and the links to the aftermarket parts guys. What does all this mean? Thanks in advance.

The Type-1 and Type-0 are different types of HKS turbo timers. The Type-1 has a bit more features than the Type-0. I am currently using the Type-0 because it requires no wire splicing and the amber color matches the gauges.

Hope this was helpful.

A turbo timer just leaves your car on idle for a minute or so to cool down then turns it off right? That was about first on my list of 'mods' for my Evo...Does the HKS do something more than this? Thx.

The HKS Type-0, the one i am using, allows the user to program how long you want your car to stay on from none at all, to 10 minutes at 30 second intervals. It also has the function to display the voltage in your car.

The HKS Type-1 includes all of the Type-0 features, PLUS several measurement tools including a speed warning display, a two-stage engine RPM warning display, 0-400 meter acceleration time measurement and stopwatch features for lap timing.

This was also my first mod. HKS sells a harness you can buy, the 95-99 mitsu eclipse harness fits our cars, so that the Turbo Timer is just plug and play.

Where'd you get your 2g DSM TT harness? I can't find one in stock anywhere. Already ordered my HKS type 0 TT (got type 0 because of amber lighting).
