Anybody on this forum will tell you that Warrtalon is a d^&k. I'm begininng to think he J$%ks off to his evo, he's single, lives with parents, has no job, and spends 90% of his day on evom trying to make other people feel bad. Don't worry though, what goes around comes around! I'm sure he was beat up alot as a kid.

We need mods like him. This forum is a huge clusterfug of redundant info. vBulletin's search engine is already horrible. Threads like this make it even worse. EvoM sucks.

Thought I'd say once again, that the HKS RS filters out nothing smaller than a fly. Check you intake pipes in about 3 months and you are likely to find fine dust and crap inside the bends. Considering the number of HKS fanboys here, this is unlikely to be taken on board.

Personally, I think HKS coilovers and intakes are a waste of time. Anyone can make a decent intake if the filter element is as good as running open. I've learnt this having wasted a considerable sum of money on such a kit. Yes, there is some power increase but what good is that if your car is sucking in $hit all the time. Like everything else, this is a compromise. This one I don't think is worth it.

On the other hand, the newer kits (called 'Reloaded') apparently do not need a tune as far as MAF compensation goes. The pipe where the MAF sits is the same diameter as the stock and so the MAF reads 'correctly'. This defeats the purpose somewhat but each to his own.

QFT. Tough love is usually the best. Better to learn it quickly in a manner less likely to be forgotten then to be a year down the line with a broke *** car.

I think all you peeps that say Warr is a ____ ... are b!tches. Although some things may come off as condecending, it IS very constructive. He, from what I've seen, hasn't conducted himself in an immature way (i.e. name calling). And I agree with him on the "SEARCH" aspect because 99% of these questions can be answered in LESS than 5min, which is less than the time you'd wait until someone responds with the correct info. And if he had done so, he wouldn't have used that mod for his first performance mod. So stop whining and MAN UP

Oh yeah...welcome to EvoM

Im gonna give a little of what warr has give to me over the months I have been here.

Step 1. Sell your intake to another noob.
Step 2. Use money made from sale of useless intake and add more money until sufficient funds are accumulated to accomplish...
Step 3. Buy Turbo Back exhaust. There are many brands, with many price points, and many selling features. HKS happens to be overpriced and smaller piping, as pointed out already, Megan Racing makes a great and well priced system that looks and sounds decent, and at around 500 for the entire system, is not bad at all. If you want something a little nicer, AMS exhausts are beautiful, and Buscher are equally awsome. But remember 3 inches is 3 inches in performance, AMS, while the quality, fit and form, will be top notch, will probibly yeild less than 5 hp better than an ebay turbo back exhaust.
Step 4. Buy a manual boost controller.
Step 5. Have someone custom tune your car, as useful as a mail in flash is, and will always be, there is no chance that a custom tune will not be better. If you happen to be lucky enough to be in the areas that AMS or Buscher reside in, then you have your tuner already found, if you happen to be in florida, I would reccomend marco at billet design motorsports, as well as Jestr in orlando, I have also heard nothing but rave reviews about Scott at TTP performance in orlando. There is supposidly a great tuner in atlanta, georgia as well.
Step 6. Enjoy your bolt on evo, then read about stuff for 5 or 6 months before spending another dime on your car. Decide what you want to do with the car before you go any route. Is it gonna be a drag car, street car, road course car, auto cross, off roading? These are all differnt kinds of motorsport that you will want to choose your mod path to suit. Take it from me, I bought my car last may, and have only done those mods to it, and I love it. Good luck with the car.

(cliffnotes) Sell Intake, Buy TBE, MBC, Custom Tune, Read about evos+parts.
