It's slightly shorter by maybe a centimeter or two. I'm not to sure, I didn't take the time to measure it.

Prior to the bushings install, 1st and 3rd were a little notchy but now it shifts much smoother.

It looks like WORKS achieves it 30% reduction in throw, primarily by adjusting the pivot point.

Dude I have the Authority short shifter and it works fine. I put a greddy counterweight shift knob and have had no issues..... and the throw was reduced seriously. Umm that works SS look the same size as stock...

Does the OEM shift knob have to be removed in order to remove the stock shifter? And does it have the same grab when it's screwed on a second time?

Yes it needs to be removed in order to remove stock shifter and screws back on just as tight as the stock shifter.

No it didn't come wiith stock shifter bushings.

Interesting, sounds like a good short shifter.... I was wondering what everybody thinks of the Perrin short shifter??????
