It's called a tach, learn to read it and you won't need a huge light.

Funny that my old 96' Saturn SC2 had a shiftlight and I found it annoying as heck.
But yeah, look around. There are plenty of makes/models. Autometer/ StewardWarner/Defi/Jun/Trust/TurboXS/ThingamaBob'sWarehouse all have one in some form.
Or learn to use the wonderful TACH in front of you :}

i didnt want a light that took up the WHOLE gauge face.. just one that fit in the gauge pod.. cause all the ones i've seen/looked at are too long..

unless your running a 42R where the rpm jumps so fast you cant read it you dont even need a shift light. Even on a 35R it doesnt jump that fast to where you need one people i think buy it cuz they want to feel and look cool. Unless your car is a full out drag car which it is not dont get one.

Keeping your eyes on the road/track will *always* be safer than looking at your guages.

No reason to hate on shift lights... they are especially useful on a road course. In any case, the new autometer ones are great, but expensive as hell.

You be suprised in a 35r when ur looking @ the tach and not the track when ur car is getting sideways in 2nd gear.

When your staring @ the tach your looking down. Some people like to look out the front window while going down the track.
