since its cold out now ive waited 2-3 mins in the morning so the rev moves down and the temp needle goes up. i also have my turbo timer set for at 1min for cool down. sometimes longer depending on my driving.

also is it just my car or does yours do this too? my gas pedal is pretty stiff when the engine is cold. so thats why i wait 2-3mins to warm up.

for warm up I wait until the needle starts moving and for cool down I let the tt decide when to shut itself off

On warmup I let the car run for probably a minute and then just keep it out of boost until the tempeture needle is about half. For cooldown I just have an hks TT that runs for 1:30.

my car doesn't like cold starts neither. so let the car warm up until the rpm needle goes down or my temp gauge goes up.

I think it’s important to “warm up” until the oil temperature has moved just below the 140°F mark (on the autometer gauge) before boosting. I don’t have a turbo timer; therefore, I usually coast the last few miles/blocks or until my oil temp has stabilized or my egt (which is located ~3 inches from the exhaust port) is ≤1000°F.

Warmup-I wait until oil pressure drops to about 60-70psi. Roughly when the temp needle passes the cold line. Then I take it easy until it is close to the normal running temp.

Cooldown-Depends on the amount of boosting, outside temperature, and what turbo/mods. You want to oil to settle down in the turno before you shut your car off. If you are boosting right before your destination, let it sit a minute. If you are taking it easy and you are close to stock there is little reason why you should have to let it sit.

Autostart the car and let it run for about 5-10mins, during the cold mornings. Making sure the heater warm things up in the cabin. Then I usually drive nice for a few mins to let all the oil flow everywhere and then back to normal mode.
Usually I just drive nice to cool down when getting to work or wherever. I had a HKS TT and also the alarm/auto-starter has a TT built-in but, I find it useless ever since going to the road track, so I don't use it at all.

i usually wait till the temp need is 1/4 up. (its cold in upstate NY) mainly for the heater to be putting out hot air. and i have my TT set for 1min 30 seconds.

I luv my Evo, it seems to be a great car. Still, it is a transportation appliance and that means it works for me not the other way around. When I need it I get in and drive. When I don't need it I shut it off. If it can't survive that then I'll get another vehicle that can.

I've always heard you shouldnt warm the car up for longer than 2 minutes when cold or 5 minutes when freezing. Moving your car is what warms the rest of the cars fluids up anyway.
