This Saturday has been crazy. First ill start off by saying that i drove about 280 miles today. I left my house with about 480 miles now im above 700.

Today i went to look at some flip screen tv's in columbus ohio and right when i pull into the parking lot sitting there was a STI!!!!!

This was the first in Ohio and i cant believe i just managed to be there at the smae time.

He was buying a radio and speakers which didnt come with his car.

Oh well but the definately look better in person than in the picture.

I went to a subaru dealership and they had a white STI with the gold rims (ugly as sin).

I hit 620 miles when i pulled in so i was anxious to take over 5000.

I have been to this dealer before when i didnt have the evo and they pretty nice. But today they trying to dog on me real hard about my "mistake of buying my evo" The salesman was tell me that the evo clutch shatters when it heats up or some crap like that.

Finally i left after a while and hit redline for the first time in the dealer parking lot.

I noticed that it smokes a lot when its above 6k

What the hell do you mean it smokes a lot? Is smoke coming from any car ever normal? What color smoke and where is it coming from? There's nothing normal about it.

 

If it's still cold outside, like I'm sure it is this time of the year in Ohio, it's just condensation, nothing to worry about. If it's a purple smoke that happens all the time, even when the weather is warm, then it's something to worry about.......

Well that's most certainly never happened to me . Are you loading the engine before it's warmed up or something? I'd definitely get that checked out.

today my brother was following me back home and he said that smoke came from the exhaust

He said it just smelled like exhaust

 

i really couldnt notice during the day but at night i can see it

 

Weird. Maybe it's just something I've never noticed but I'm gonna check it out tomorrow night when I drive mine.

If you are talking about the black smoke that appears under hard accelleration above 5,000 RPMs it is normal and all stock EVOs do it. It is the overly rich A/F ratio dialed into the stock ECU. Above 5k the mixture falls off the chart to below 10:1. Nothing to worry about.

An XEDE or SAFC will allow you to enlean the mix, get rid of the smoke, and make about 25 more HP.
